My name is John Varner. I am a licensed fishing guide, specializing in Sand Bass, Hybrids and Stripers, on DFW area lakes in Texas.

My trips are informal and one on one. We will not just catch fish but also LEARN HOW TO CATCH FISH. I have a 19.6' Sea Pro center console with up to date color fishfinders and GPS. I use many methods of fishing: ARTIFICIAL, TROLLING, AND DOWNRIGGING. Just let me know what methods you want to learn. I mostly fish for sand bass, but there is a very good chance of catching some nice hybrids and stripers.

Half-day trips are $225 (4-5 hours) 1-2 people. $75 per extra person. Includes cleaning and bagging fish.

Full day trips also available. Call or email for details. Larger parties can be arranged.
Weekday afternoon trips available for Lake Ray Hubbard only.

I also do trips with 1 adult and 2 children at the $225 rate (kids under 13). You are welcome to use your own equipment or I will provide equipment for you.
